YouTube Expands Partner Program
YouTube announced today that they have paid out more than $1 million to existing partners in the U.S., Canada and UK and will be expanding their partner program to Japan Australia and Ireland.
While the million dollars paid threshold is a milestone video sharing companies love to tout, (see Revver ) it’s a rather overrated success metric, Revver was begging to sell out months after crossing it.
YouTube’s increased global focus will bring it into greater competition with DailyMotion, the French company which recently moved into the U.S. and has been its greatest international competition to date.
