Via the Worcester Telegram, the Colleges of Worcester Consortium has created a 4 minute online video to promote the city as a “premiere destination.”
The article makes it pretty obvious that this is one of those ideas where someone says ‘let’s take that $125,000 grant from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and create a viral video.’ I just hope they didn’t spend the whole grant on it.
For those of you who have never been, Worcester may be the grayest city in New England. Then again, Worcester does have a both a toilet museum and a statue of a boy riding a turtle, but somehow those were left out.

There are definitely grayer places in New England than Worcester. Have you ever been to Augusta, ME? The video definitely presents the “best of” Central Massachusetts. I wish I had a client who was happy that the video was watched by 900 people!
