User Generated Spoofs

As predicted in iMediaconnection, brands that encourage user generated media run the risk of being mocked or spoofed or worse. There are some pitfalls when companies put their brand equity in the hands of the masses.

In this case, I think Dove got off relatively easy. Sure, they wouldn’t describe their core demo as “Hard Core Biker with Silky Soft Nuts,” but this is still a relatively tame and humorous take on the Dove promo.
