The crew of Rush HD’s U Everest is preparing to make their Mount Everest summit bid within the next 24 hours after finishing up their stay at Camp 4. This is one of those cool convergence areas where online is the perfect complement to high quality production.

The documentary being produced by Altitude Films is shot on HD and will no doubt look incredible, but is still months away from completion. So while the climb is in progress the channel is already promoting it with constant updates from Everest in the form of online videos photos and daily expedition diaries.
Through partnerships with YouTube and AOL the production is extending its online reach, and thanks to the ease of embedding, I can syndicate the video above of Gerry Moffatt preparing, (shameless self-promotion, Gerry worked with me on A Year on Earth) and of this update from base camp posted today.
Good luck to Gerry and the rest of the climbers. I can’t wait to see that footage in HD – and I’ll take everything I can get online until then.
Congrats Gerry, did a great work. CJ
