Podcaster Seeks Biz Dev Leader

We’re seeking a dynamic and accomplished business development professional who can immediately contribute to a fast-growing professional team. The candidate should have a strong background in video content distribution, syndication and monetization with a strong eye toward emerging trends in podcasting and on-line video consumption.

Leader in podcast distribution, delivering more than 85 million monthly downloads for more than 8,000 independent and commercial content creators. We’re building an organization to satisfy advertisers desire to be involved in this new and exciting medium.

The Biz Dev Leader will work with the CEO and be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and developing multiple business partnerships nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

· Primary focus is to expand on-line distribution content by opening doors with new relationships and developing/expanding existing relationships

· Other duties include creating biz dev partnerships to expand unique and high quality content and conceptualizing and auctioning monetization avenues

Job Requirements:

· Extensive network of contacts with top-tier internet publishers—either in leading on-line companies with a video component (e.g., YouTube) OR with traditional sources (e.g., Turner Network)

· Excellent research skills, passion for keeping ahead of on-line video consumption trends, and calculated risk taker

· Track-record of creative deal-making and business development

· Strength in developing and interpreting the metrics of internet publishers/advertisers

· Ability to function well as a self starter and in a team environment.

· Can-do attitude is a must.

Salary and commission/bonus are negotiable.

    Recent past clients include, Broadcast PC, delivering 30 sec CD quality full screen video to 6,500,000 desktops, and Webhound, an ad supported free and legal music CD downloading medium., and Lawstreet.com, a leading search website for lawyers.     Built a client base for Crane Media Sales that includes: CBS Stations Division, Health Choices, Diversified Broadcasting Services, Preview Travel, LeSea Broadcasting, and Marcast, and ABC Affiliate Enterprises,

    As VP PrimeTime Sales, managed over $1.2 billion in national network TV sales and achieved a 40% share of dollars with only 33% of audience for CBS Television Network, which has not been surpassed since.

    For CBS, developed an innovative, “Airplanes” sales system that solved the last-minute availability problem for movie pullouts. Generated more than $40 million in additional sales.

    Launched a new, “BackBooking” sales strategy for CBS. Moving advertisers voluntarily to alternate time periods, generated $25.5 million in additional annual income with no primetime inventory.

    Launched an Internet prototype called “Teletext” EXTRAVISION for CBS New Technologies in the USA. EXTRAVISION used the VBI to transmit data
    across TV signals. Teletext and it’s sister technology, Videotext, were the precursors to the Internet in the 1990’s.

    Also represented Webhound, the free and legal CD downing new medium and Hiwire.com, a leading sales rep firm in the Internet Radio space with a line up that includes the Clear Channel stations, the Cox stations, and Live365. LIVE TV, and out of home (OOH) television advertising opportunity delivers the first and only live TV experience on Jet Blue Airlines. Mr. Crane has created, developed, and implemented a sales program and sold advertising in this original OOH media experience.

    CURSORMATE.COM New York, N.Y. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Feb-August, 2000. Full management responsibilities for nine full time and 15 consultants and interns of national rollout of a Korean software technology. Started the company from scratch with strong product development skills and built a solid management team that is willing to move with me to a new opportunity. Founded the company in the US with the support of DBM Korea, the fourth largest advertising agency in Korea.
