The NewsMarket has announced a new service enabling bloggers to source and embed video from some of the world’s leading companies for use in their posts.
VideoCafé offers free video content from major companies including Google, Yahoo!, Intel, Nintendo, AOL, Dell, Dow Chemical and others. During the initial beta period, video will be available on an invitation-only basis. The Newsmarket had previously serviced only professional media outlets.
The market for online video content syndication is getting increasingly crowded, particularly in the high-quality, professionally produced news arena. Companies including ClipSyndicate already allow bloggers to publish syndicated broadcast news clips from Associated Press, Bloomberg, About.com, ClearChannel, NBC, and Fox, while Brightcove offers a Syndication Marketplace with content from hundreds of providers as well.
All of these companies provide content married with advertising, delivering revenue to bloggers as well as content. Interesting to note that the Big Three Portals are already leveraging content provided from other sources.
