Live This Weekend: Austin City Limits Music Festival
Looking for a music fix this weekend? For the fourth straight year AT&T Blue Room will stream the Austin City Limits Music Festival live online. As I write this I’m watching Pete Yorn performing live.
AT&T is encoding the concert in windows media 480×270 (16:9 Aspect Ratio) in two profiles: 300k, 32k audio (FM quality) or 500k, 48k audio. As far as concerts go, it’s far from an optimal viewing experience, and the bandwidth question is not easily solved.
But hopefully we can look forward to better experiences from Silverlight and H.264 in the near future. And for now it’s nice to be able to take a day off from my normal Last.fm at work routine and watch live performances instead. (via 3Screens)

Hello Interesting insight into Live This Weekend: Austin City Limits Music Festival. I have often thought about this myself. I think live music is somewhat related. On Wednesday I have the day off, so will look more into it.
