I applied for a job with Immersive Media but found out that their technology is dated and runs on dinosaur systems. It wasn't worth relocating for that. I'm waiting for Panasonic, Sony or Panovision to get into this business and deliver a professional solution.

If Immersive's tech was any good they'd have been bought out long ago as it is they look headed for the Deadpool.

my company was looking at their services for a campaign. they only have one camera type and its the same one they used for google before google dumped them and went with the lady-bug cameras from point gray. jane is right, their image quality is terrible and actors only care about looking fabulous so who knows why any of this matters/

Pretty sure the fuzzy no one can see it rule was for the cameras they used for Google Street view...To do high quality all you need is better cameras, which they have.

I don't get this? Immersive Media cameras take very low quality video and part of the company's own argument against privacy invasion was based on promoting how no one can even make out anyone's faces with their system.

So why would anyone in entertainment care about fuzzy, blurry images that are so small no one can enjoy them?
