CFO Out at Roo

Lou Kerner, CFO of online video solutions provider Roo Media has left the company. The online video technology provider has struggled with financials despite having a global footprint and distribution deals with News Corp’s Times of London and The Sun, Fox News Channel, Australian versions of Fox Interactive Media sites myspace.com and IGN.com, VNU, mtvU, Universal Music UK, financial sites including Entrepreneur.com and TheStreet.com, Lycos UK and many more.

Earnings disappointments were problematic long before Mr. Kerner’s arrival, however. Mr. Kerner was named to the post in December 2006 after serving as President and COO of Bolt Media.

In late June, Roo named three new top executives including a GM/EVP, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Content Officer. Despite only being there for six months, I’d consider this a normal case of out with the old, in with the new.

Ed Note: As previously mentioned, I own Roo Media stock (RGRP.OB)
